The head of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell's protection detail has been reassigned.
This is the second move for Officer Jeffrey Vappie, who is accused of violating department policy again.
In the latest incident, he was caught dining with the mayor in the French Quarter.
There were wine glasses on the table but it's unclear if alcohol was being consumed while on duty.
Vappie was previously reassigned in late 2022 while the department looked into time he spent with the mayor inside a city-owned French Quarter apartment.
